Central Pennsylvania World Hunger Assoc. 

(Meat Canning)

Central Pennsylvania World Hunger Association (Meat Can-

ning) is the mission for January. This is the 39th year for meat

canning. The goal this year is to can 30,000 pounds of turkey.

Through the support of donations, they have been able to feed

five and a half million people in central PA. The Association

keeps 10% of the canned meat here in Central PA for local

needy people. Meat is distributed in March to various agencies

such as The Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, Mother Hub-

bard’s Cupboard & others. Please mark your donations Meat

Canning or January’s monthly mission. Thank you!

January requests: New clothing (size 2T—small adult), socks, underwear, hat, gloves, shoes

February requests: WOW items! Soccer/kick balls, hand pumps, nerf balls, dolls, larger toy trucks or cars.

All year: Monetary donations* (must list Operation Christmas Child (OCC) on the memo line of the check, empty shoeboxes, old clean T-shirts to be made into jump ropes (stained is fine, but no tears)

NOTE:

All donations accepted regardless of the monthly category.

*Checks must include OCC on memo line.

Donation Box is located inside the back entrance door (bottom of steps). Reminder – NO used items, liquids or soap, food/seeds, weapons or scary/war related items.
