A small group of volunteers established the ministry in 1983 and has provided food to families 11 months out of the year ever since. Volunteers arrive the morning of the third Tuesday of the month (except for August) to package the food to that qualifying families will pick up between 1:30 - 3 pm.
Donations are accepted throughout the month via marked boxes at the church. Non-perishables like soup, cereal, pasta, canned vegetables, bread and more are appreciated. Fresh produce, when available, is also needed. Families living in Centre Hall or Potter Township who need food are encouraged to call the coordinator at 814-364-1675 for more information. If you are willing to help with the effort, use the same number to volunteer.

UMCOR and the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church
Founded in 1940, the United Methodist Committee on Relief is the global humanitarian relief agency of The United Methodist Church. A part of Global Ministries, UMCOR works in more than 80 countries worldwide, including the United States and its terri-tories. The agency’s mission, grounded in the teachings of Jesus, is to alleviate human suffering with open hearts and minds to all people. Working in the areas of disaster response and recovery, sustainable development and migration, UMCOR responds to nat-ural or civil disasters that are interruptions of such magnitude that they overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on its own.
